About Grant Locklear
Grant is a performing musician, songwriter, and music producer with several years’ experience as a guitar teacher.
A lifelong music lover, Grant has been immersed in sound since he was six years old, when he began his musical journey playing the fiddle. Over the years, his instrumental talents expanded to include guitar, trumpet, drums, mandolin, and ukulele and any other instrument needed to bring his musical ideas to life. Of them all, he eventually picked the guitar as his primary instrument.
Grant started teaching guitar professionally in 2018 with the hopes of sharing his passion for music with all people, especially the younger generation. As the front man for the band Vandergoose, he has performed at music festivals, created music videos, and performed for Tedx. He has a special talent in writing original music and scoring films. An avid music explorer, he loves discovering new and old music as a teacher and a performer, passing on his musical discoveries to his students, inspiring them to explore and create music that resonates with them.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, Grant is committed to helping his students grow as a guitarist and a musician.
