About Dr. Betty Hill
Dr. Betty Hill is an accomplished educational leader with over 15 years in music performance, education and arts integration. She is skilled in instructional strategy and mentoring students to improve their education and achievement. Dr. Hill has a proven record of fostering equity, collaboration, and innovation across diverse learning environments.
Prior to joining the team at Northwest, Dr. Hill taught vocal and instrumental music, music composition, theory, and music technology for 20 years, followed by 10 years managing a team of 400+ educators as an arts administrator for Columbus City Schools in Ohio. After several years championing arts education in this role, Dr. Hill has reignited her passion for private music instruction.
With a B.A in keyboard performance, an M.A. and PhD in music education, Dr. Hill has continued to pursue educational excellence and musical performance throughout her career. Her specific areas of expertise are piano, voice, and pipe organ.
