About Blake O’Neal
Blake O’Neal is a jazz guitarist, born and raised in San Antonio. At age 10, he picked up a guitar, drawing inspiration from folk, pop, and one artist in particular, John Mayer. As the years passed, he found himself drawn to all genres like R&B/soul, jazz, hip-hop, fusion, funk, and metal. He pursued a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at Texas State University. Studying under Brian Pardo, a legendary guitarist with an illustrious career.
Blake has also studied under the great Gilad Hekcelman and Peter Bernstein. When he is not teaching, you can find Blake playing guitar around the San Antonio/ Austin area in one of his many local groups. Blake’s love for music and constant pursuit to get better inspires his passion for teaching and sharing his knowledge with others.
