About Annisha Mackenzie
Annisha Mackenzie is a classically trained vocalist and stage director. Her primary passion is opera, but she is also a lover of musical theatre, pop, and rock. She teaches voice students of all levels and styles as well as piano for beginners to early intermediate.
Annisha graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance with a minor in opera. While pursuing her degree, she performed roles such as Cendrillon in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Suor Angelica in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and the Second Lady in Mozart’s The Magic Flute. Since graduating she has worked with Texas State Opera, Utah Vocal Arts Academy, and Gilbert and Sullivan of Austin. Additionally, Annisha sings with the University United Methodist Church choir.
As a teacher, Annisha believes that the key to success is found in the joy in music, and strives to give every student the technical tools necessary to experience this joy to the fullest. As such, lessons and repertoire are tailored to each individual student’s skill level, taste, and aspirations.
