About Lakshitha Sasikumar
Lakshitha Sasikumar is a vocalist, guitarist, & songwriter with over 10 years of experience in live performance, recording, music production, and songwriting. She developed her passion for music at an early age and has trained in voice, guitar, and music theory across various styles, and has earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Industry Studies from California State University, Northridge.
As an instructor, Lakshitha creates a supportive & engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s goals and skill level. For voice students, she utilizes ear training and solfege exercises to strengthen pitch, singing technique, and agility for belting and vocal runs. For guitarists, she teaches using the Hal Leonard Guitar Method to build a strong foundation in technique, music reading, & musicianship.
Lakshitha’s greatest joy comes from helping students grow in confidence, developing their musical skills, & discovering a lifelong appreciation for music. She believes music is both a deeply intimate & personal form of expression as well as a powerful way to form connection with others.
