About Momchil Zanev

Momchil showed a great love for music at a very early age. He was influenced by his father, who is a conductor and composer, to start violin lessons and solfeggio at the age of 5 in 1979. When Momchil was six, he was admitted to the Plovdiv School of Music where he studied until grade 12. After his graduation he attended the Academy of Music and Dance, Plovdiv where he studied Music Education with Violin as a major instrument. After his move to the US, he decided to attend Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. and studied Music Technology and Audio Recording. There, he was able to experience the power of music on both sides of the recording glass – as a sound engineer and as a violin player at the Duquesne University Orchestra under the renowned conductor and musician Maestro Sidney Harth. After his graduation, Momchil moved to Los Angeles where he established himself as a violin teacher, an audio mastering engineer, a music band member and a volunteer. Mr. Momchil’s career spans more than 20 years. He is thrilled to start a new chapter in his life, teaching and sharing his passion for music and violin in the great Denver area.
