About Drew Packard
Drew is a multi-instrumentalist/composer/producer currently based in Denver, CO. He studied jazz/classical guitar and composition as well as upright and electric bass at the University of Arkansas where he received a B.A. in Music. Throughout his career, Drew has sought to become highly versatile by becoming proficient on multiple instruments and fluent in as many genres and styles as possible. This has led him down a very diverse path and given him tremendous insight into the elements of writing, performing and teaching all kinds of music. Drew has toured and performed in many award winning groups and as a solo artist. He distills all of his influences into custom fit lessons for you based on your interests and musical goals.
As an educator, Drew has provided private lessons for over ten years to students of all ages and skill levels. He has taught at several private schools and arts academies and worked with the Walton Arts Center Jazz Education Initiative to develop their school outreach program and the NWA All-Star Jazz Youth Ensemble. Drew’s original commercial jingle written for Slim Chickens is internationally syndicated and he has performed across the country and shared the stage with many iconic artists such as Bob Dorough, Earth Wind and Fire, Veronica Swift, Official Blues Bros. Revue, Conrad Herwig, Al Schackman, Champian Fulton, Jake Hertzog, Warren Wolf, Gregorio Uribe etc.
