Bowen received movie placement for her version of the 80’s hit “Holding Out for A Hero” in the 2011 film Footloose. The success of the film’s soundtrack sparked a viral internet hit and the signing of her first major deal in Nashville.

Keith Urban, A-List songwriters Natalie Hemby, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose (“Girl Crush”- Little Big Town, “Automatic”- Miranda Lambert, “You Belong With Me”- Taylor Swift) have thrown support to Bowen. One record deal, two publishing deals, and many miles behind her, she has found success as a songwriter. Bowen’s song “I’ll Go On” was included on Reba McEntire’s chart-topping LP Love Somebody, and her songs have been recorded by successful US artists, artists on the Texas charts, and artists across Europe.
