About Jillian Agona
Jillian Agona is a classically trained lyric soprano, storyteller, musician, and dedicated teacher based in the greater Boston area. She has a passion for an eclectic mix of musical genres and styles, especially Opera, Pop, Jazz, Musical Theater, and RnB. She received her Master of Music in Voice Performance from the Mannes School of Music at the New School where she studied with the internationally acclaimed operatic soprano Diana Soviero. Jillian additionally holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from Boston University where she studied with Penelope Bitzas. Jillian is also an enthusiastic songwriter and member of a Pop-Funk duo band. As a teacher, Jillian aims to provide students with a safe learning environment, tailoring her lessons to each students’ specific needs. She encourages her students to experiment with their voices and express themselves while honing their sound, technique, and stage presence.
