About T. Theresa Jackson
T. Theresa Jackson received her Bachelor’s of Music in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, CA in 2007 and her AA Degree in Music from Sierra College in 2003. She became a Board Certified Music Therapist in 2008 and received her certification in Neurologic Music Therapy in 2009. She completed her internship at UC Davis Medical Center in Pediatrics in Sacramento, California working with children ages 6 mos. – 23 years of age with various medical diagnoses’. While earning her degree, T’s clinical training included children in regular school setting, children and adults with developmental disabilities, adults with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s, as well as, adults in end-of-life care. She spent time as a volunteer at Sutter Memorial Hospital working with pre-mature infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
T teaches beginning vocal, guitar, and piano lessons at Natomas School of Music, Sacramento, CA and private lessons at her home in Roseville, CA. She currently provides Music and Movement to home-based preschools in the mornings. In November 2014, she formed the T. Jackson Jazz Group (3-5 members) with performances at private parties, wineries, restaurants, and senior retirement communities. She has participated in Legacy/Renaissance Church Choir, Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society, Celebration Arts Community Choir, and TruVyne Community Choir. She was a vocalist for the University of the Pacific Jazz Big Band, the Oriana Female Choir, the Sierra College and American River Vocal Jazz Ensembles, Sierra College Concert and Chamber Choir, and the Ana G. Vocal Arts Performing Studio.
