About Quinn Vance
Quinn is a classical pianist born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He began taking piano lessons at the age of 4. Some of his notable achievements include obtaining first place in the American River College 2023 Concerto Aria competition, obtaining third place in the Ruby Holland Foundation for the Arts international music competition, and being awarded a scholarship from the American Guild of Organists where he learned to play the organ. Quinn is a member of the Back to BACH Sacramento Chapter, which goes to elementary schools around the region performing and educating students about classical music. Although music theory can be difficult, Quinn believes that it is important to have a grasp of the basic concepts, as it can make the process of learning music easier. In the fall of 2025, Quinn will be transferring to CSUS to pursue a Bachelor of Music degree with the goal of continuing his education and obtaining a master’s degree in Piano Performance. Although Quinn’s time is spent as a busy college student and performing in piano recitals, he also enjoys writing music, listening to a variety of musical genres, drawing, and painting. Fun Fact: Quinn named his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Ludwig after Beethoven.
