I am Mark
I directed high school music programs for 18 years. I retired from public school and have been teaching privately for over 5 years. I work with 70+ students each week, both online and in-person, and I have a California Teaching Credential in Music (K-12).
As a school music director I taught:
Concert Band, Marching Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Band and Jazz Choir, Concert and Acapella Choir, Piano, Guitar, Rock Band, Computer Music, Music Production, and AP Music Theory.
I started on flute in the 4th grade – tuba, and Double Bass in high school. Over the years I have played in a variety of groups: symphony orchestra, string orchestra, concert band, jazz band, rock bands, jazz combos, and jazz choir. I spend my off time producing/composing music in my own recording studio. I attended American River College where I received my Associate of Arts Degree in Music, I then transferred to California State University, Long Beach, where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Composition and began work on my Master’s and Teaching Credential in Music.
