About Dimitri Perera
Dimitri was born and raised in Palm Springs, CA. He taught himself how to play bass guitar in 9th grade from reading tabs and watching YouTube videos. He then joined his high school marching and symphonic band, Spirit of The Sands, in the percussion section. Spirit of The Sands was invited to tour South Africa in 2010, playing the Lion King score.
His music career has led him to play in multiple bands as a touring and session musician. Dimitri is currently studying for a Bachelor’s of Music in Songwriting and Music Production at Berklee College of Music Online.
Dimitri is eager to teach students what he knows, helping shape their love for music.
