About Julian Mandrake

Julian was born in San Diego and moved to Texas, graduating from Round High School in Round Rock, Texas. His musical journey began as a professional guitarist with the band Blue October, touring both nationally and internationally.
After leaving Blue October in 2013, Julian continued his career as the Director of 26 Music. In this role, he oversaw the music school curriculum, including songwriting, studio time, and performance. He is the owner of Near Dark Touring, where he manages three cover bands.
Julian believes the Woodshed community is an excellent platform to teach guitar, encourage songwriting, and provide opportunities for performance.
