About Josh Adams
Josh fell in love with music after hearing “Ticket to Ride” by the Beatles in fifth grade and starting playing music and writing songs shortly thereafter. He started performing in college and moved to Nashville shortly after he recorded his first album.
He graduated with honors from the Atlanta Institute of Music and holds a degree in Guitar Performance. He was awarded the achievement scholarship which is given to the most outstanding student each year. Josh played lead guitar, pedal steel, and sang in Baylor Drive in Charlotte, North Carolina. Baylor Drive released 2 EPs and played various festivals and gigs in the Carolinas.
He has been a worship leader and music director at multiple churches and has led worship at conferences, retreats, camps and various events in the US and abroad. He currently serves as a music director at Christ the King Presbyterian in Austin, TX.
He currently writes and performs as a founding member of the Americana/bluegrass band Kentucky Divide. Kentucky Divide is known for their original sound and just released their debut EP which can be found on all streaming platforms.
Josh’s passion is to create and help others discover their creativity. He has taught all ages and loves all genres. His goal is for his students to have fun and enjoy playing music. He teaches guitar, ukulele, banjo, dobro, piano, bass, Logic pro.
