About Isabella Valenzuela
Isabella Valenzuela is a Music Major at Austin Community College, currently studying Violin with Dr. Jose Flores. She hopes to become an Orchestra Director once she has received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. She has been playing Violin since she was 10 and has continued to add more string instruments to her repertoire, such as Cello, Double Bass, Viola, Harp, classical guitar, and Piano. She attended Westwood High School and played in three of their six orchestras, each with a different instrument. She occasionally volunteers with the Westwood Beginner Orchestra, under the direction of Associate Director Colleen Whately, where she assists students with various techniques tailored to their instruments.
Isabella loves teaching and enjoys working with students/ musicians of all ages. She has a very methodical approach to teaching and prefers to focus on building technique at a leisurely pace. In her free time, Isabella enjoys listening to a wide range of music, and her favorite band is Modest Mouse. She also enjoys spending time watching movies with her family and taking naps with her dog, Hazel.
