About Francesca Kelinsky

Francesca is a classically trained violinist with more than 30 years of performance experience and over a decade of teaching students of all ages and skill levels in both private and school settings. Beginning the violin at age 5, her teaching approach combines strong technical instruction with Suzuki-informed pedagogy.
Francesca completed her formal teacher training through the Suzuki Association of the Americas and holds a Master of Education from Loyola University. She studied Violin Performance with Marian Irwin of the Wheeling Symphony, Christopher Wu of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and Charles Stegeman of the Curtis Institute of Music.
Her more than a decade of experience as a Montessori Lead Guide further enriches her teaching, allowing her to tailor instruction to each student’s unique developmental needs, learning style, and goals. Francesca believes in meeting every student where they are and creating a supportive and nurturing environment in which they can thrive. At the heart of her teaching philosophy is the conviction that every student can learn to make music, and she considers sharing that gift and passion to be one of life’s greatest privileges.
In addition to teaching, Francesca remains an active performer with the Balcones Community Orchestra in Austin, where she participates in monthly concerts, and enjoys collaborating with fellow musicians in chamber music ensembles and various gigs around the city.
