First Location of The Musicians Woodshed
The Lake Travis location is original location, established in 2010. Originally a small, single suite guitar store with a single lesson room in the back has now grown into multi-suite complex complete with 3 halls of lessons rooms, practice spaces, performance spaces, guitar shop, full recording studio and a backyard stage for student performances!
Despite our growth over the past decade, we pride ourselves on maintaining the same cozy, laid-back Austin vibe we’ve always had since our humble beginnings. Come by and peruse through our selection of instruments for purchase, or simply relax on one of our comfy couches in the waiting area, you can almost guarantee a student will be on our stage practicing for their next gig.
Piano
The piano is both approachable for young beginners and richly complex for advanced players, and is perfect for learning to read music and building a strong musical foundation.
Guitar & Ukulele
One of the foundational instruments of contemporary music, our guitar instructors teach across genres and will equip you to play for yourself or as part of a group.
