About Vicki Linich
Vicki Linich has been singing all her life, and she loves a cappella choral singing best of all. She earned a Master’s Degree in Vocal Pedagogy and Diction from Northern Illinois University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from SUNY Potsdam (NY).
She is the Artistic Director of Acappellago, an a cappella choral ensemble in the Chicago Western suburbs, and she has served as the Music Director at the Congregational Church of Batavia, IL since 2007.
As a mezzo-soprano, Vicki enjoys singing an eclectic variety of music, but she has a soft spot for sacred music. Favorite solo performances include Vivaldi’s “Gloria” with the Fox Valley Symphony Orchestra and Chorus of Aurora, IL, Bach’s “Mass in B Minor” with the Downers Grove Choral Society of Downers Grove, IL, and Dvorak’s “Mass in D Major” with Cappella Festiva of Poughkeepsie, NY.
Over the last two decades, she has also created and performed several full-length solo concerts which have been sponsored by the Downers Grove Choral Society, Northern Illinois University, Lewis University, the Park Ridge Public Library, the Batavia Arts Council, and several chapters of the American Association of University Women.
With nearly 25 years of experience teaching voice and piano, Vicki has worked with students of all ages, training them to best express the music which interests them the most. She loves to share the art of singing with everyone, and firmly believes that anyone can learn to sing!
