About Sean Rhead

Sean Rhead is a 2018 graduate of Saint Xavier University, from which he holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance. He is a bass singer with Classical and Musical Theatre training. He is able to teach all styles of music. Sean is currently teaching K-8 General Music at SS Cyril in Lemont and PreK- 4th grade General Music at Methodius and Saint Catherine of Alexandria in Oak Lawn.

Sean is also doing the narration and characters for Sarah K. L. Wilson’s best-selling “Dragon Chameleon” series and he has a growing list of audio book credits on Audible. He also shared with us, that there are a few more projects on the horizon!

Sean has an extensive performance history in Musical Theatre (favorite roles include):

  • Frollo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame
  • Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar
  • Orin Scrivello, DDS. in Little Shop of Horrors

With Musical Expressions, Sean hopes to make lessons both educational and fun. He has some really fun warm-up exercises for students! These warm-up exercises help to break the ice and everyone have a great time! Sean also teaches young students music terminology, rhythmic exercises, note and interval reading and aural training. He works to instill healthy vocal techniques and encourages music appreciation as a whole.
