Since an early age, Matthew has dedicated his life to music. At the age of 3 he began taking piano lessons and by 9 also found an immense love of the saxophone as well. Originally from Bethlehem Pennsylvania, Matthew has played with many different ensembles ranging from classical, jazz, to popular music groups and has played all over the North East. He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such notable musicians as Randy Brecker, Phil Woods, and Bernie Worrell.
As a teacher, Matthew believes that a solid foundation of fundamentals is key to success. Scales, theory, and technique are integral as well as cultivating a fun environment for students to find their own musical voice. Each student will have individualized lesson plans tailored to their musical needs and future musical aspirations.
Matthew’s hobbies include spending time with his cat, hiking, watching movies and watching football.
