About Mandy Duran
An Aurora, Illinois native, Mandy Duran teaches Choir and General Music at Washington Middle School in the West Aurora School District. Graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a BME in Choral Music Education, Mandy is an avid lover and life long learner of music. During the summers, she dedicates her time vocal directing at the Oswegoland Park District’s Limelight Theatre Company. Vocal Direction credits include Shrek Jr, Willy Wonka Jr, and Descendants the Musical. Mandy enjoys performing with the City of Lights Cabaret & Theatre Group in Aurora and sings lead in the RnB/Funk/Alt Rock band Flood. From musical theatre to soulful rock n’ roll, Mandy’s passion for versatile vocal technique and advocacy for healthy vocal production have made her an accomplished musician and singer.
