Herbie Hancock once said “Music isn’t about music, music is about life”. This quote resonates with Lucas and is a core philosophy behind his teaching. As a teacher, Lucas cares about bringing the emotional impact of music into lessons as well as the technical. He enjoys mentoring students and using his own experiences to connect with them.

Outside of music, Lucas enjoys going for walks, reading, playing video games, and drinking tea.
