About Jerremiah Smith
Jerremiah Smith is a guitarist, composer, and educator with over 20 years of experience. He studied guitar performance and music education at California State University, Chico, where he earned his BA and MA. He taught for 12 years at the Bermuda School of Music. During that time, he also performed and helped to coordinate and run the Bermuda Guitar Festival (not to mention meeting his wife and starting a family).
Jerremiah specializes in classical guitar but plays and teaches most styles of music. He enjoys composing and has created YouTube videos for some of his original compositions and arrangements. He played lead guitar in an 80s hair metal cover band, Hair Gin & Tonic. He also played live jazz on North State Public Radio and won first prize in MakeAStar.com’s international solo acoustic guitar competition.
When Jerremiah isn’t busy, he enjoys staying home with a video game or relaxing with a book or sci-fi or fantasy movie.
