About Gabriela Sevilla

Gabriela Sevilla was born in Mexico City. She has a Bachelor’s degree with honors as a classical singer from the National University of Mexico.
In her native Country she performed as a soloist with the most important orchestras, Including Orquesta de la Opera de Bellas Artes, Orquesta Filarmonica de la Ciudad de Mexico, Orquesta del Nuevo Mundo and others. She sang several times at the Opera House in Mexico and has been working as a teacher for more than 15 years.
She has experience as a soloist in opera and chamber music, singing Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Bach Cantatas and others.
She currently lives in Naperville and sings for Non-Profit Associations, Charity events and Galas with a Musical Theatre repertoire. Her strong voice technique can help any level student. For the younger student, focus will be given on breathing, posture, and beginning techniques. For high school aged students, focus will be on advanced repertoire, as well as preparation for college auditions and top ILMEA placements. For her the most important part of being a voice teacher is to transmit the love of music and the pleasure of producing sounds in an enjoyable music environment.
Gabriela loves to travel as a way to know more about other cultures and talk with different kinds of people who will enrich her life. She has two College-aged children.
