Celebrate The Ukulele With Easy–To-Learn Chords! – January 2025
National Ukulele Day is every year on February 2nd! This “Uke Club” meets each week at Musical Expressions, and performs across Chicago throughout the year. They joined Daytime Chicago to share some facts about this awesome instrument!
“You can play all kinds of music on the ukulele, and that’s what we do to try and broaden our horizons,” Carl Hix told Daytime Chicago. “You can pluck or strum the strings, and we do both!” Carl is also a guitar, bass, and ukulele teacher at Musical Expressions, and has been teaching and training musicians since 1969!
