About Patrick
Patrick Hyatte, violinist native to St. Paul, MN has been studying and performing violin since he was 7 years old. He is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota where he received his bachelor’s degree in violin performance under the tutelage of Sally O’Reilly. He attained his high school diploma from Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists and was a member of many youth music programs including Minnesota Youth Symphonies, Artaria Chamber Music School, and the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS).
Patrick has attained awards from competitions including MNSOTA Mary West Solo competition-Senior Division, Lamont Chamber Music Competition, and SPCO Youth Chamber Music Competition. Summer music festivals he has participated in over recent years include the Pienza Music Festival in Italy, Eastern Music Festival and Sphinx Performance Academy. Patrick currently serves on the board of directors of GTCYS as an inaugural young alumni board member, and has most recently attained a master’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Denver Lamont School of Music under the tutelage of Linda Wang. Since graduating, he has performed with Larimer Chorale, Denver Philharmonic Orchestra, Steamboat Symphony Orchestra, and the Loveland Opera Theater.
