Our Approach to Singing Lessons at Modern Music Academy
All Modern Music Academy voice teachers are classically trained and have an in-depth understanding of how the vocal cords work. Our students are taught proper warm-up and breathing techniques to help maximize range, vocal stability, and much more.
Every voice lesson is not created equal. Each lesson is tailored to the specific student’s interests and ability level. Whether you or your child want to learn how to successfully sing a song from your favorite soundtrack or something popular on the radio, we’ll help get you there!
We also help with auditions for musical theater, competitions, school plays, and more.

What Is a Good Age to Start Voice Lessons?
The minimum age we recommend a student start voice lessons is 7 years old. Many parents want their child to start much younger, but a voice lesson that focuses strictly on technique can be very challenging on younger vocal cords that have not yet developed. We are happy to help you learn more and determine if your child is ready!
Teens and adults are welcome and may also want to include voice lessons with another instrument they are learning.
