Songwriting Camp

This year send your child to a different kind of summer camp, creating original songs! Middle C Music’s Songwriting Camp will be led by guitar teacher John Linn. With 20+ years of performing and songwriting experience and a certification as a guitar specialist from the Berklee School of Music, John is the perfect instructor for this course. He has studied songwriting with Josh Ritter and Mary Gauthier, among others.

Young Gershwins and Gagas will learn the art of crafting lyrics and melodies and fitting them together into their own songs, writing in both a group and individually.

The camp meets Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., culminating in a concert for friends and family on Friday evening at 6 p.m. All participants receive a T-shirt and a video of their performance. A light lunch is provided for the campers.

Anyone age 10-16 can participate and any and all instruments are welcome. Beginners on a guitar are welcome to participate; some experience is needed for all other instruments.

Cost for the week is $400.

Monday, August 14 through Friday, August 18. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Call 202-244-7326 or email info@middlecmusic.com to sign up.
