About Will Buchholtz

Available Tuesdays and Fridays

Will Buchholtz has played the cello for the last 25 years, and he specializes in beginning cello lessons. He began his music education with the Suzuki method before advancing to studies with Richard Andaya of the San Francisco Symphony and Roger Lebow of the LA Opera. Notable ensembles he has participated in during his music career include the North State Symphony and the Pomona College Orchestra, and he continues to perform on a professional basis. In addition to playing the cello, Will plays the piano and sings. Although he enjoys many composers, two of his favorites are Beethoven and Brahms.

In addition to his background in music, Will is a high school physics teacher in DC. Before moving into education, he worked in scientific research, completing his PhD in physics at Georgetown University. When he is not teaching, Will enjoys reading, soccer, and watching sports.
