About Tian Wei
Piano
Tian Wei is a piano instructor currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the Catholic University of America. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a bachelor’s with honors from the Sichuan Conservatory of Music in Chengdu, China. Tian has cultivated a diverse performance career across prestigious venues in the U.S. and China, performing in DC, Houston, Shanghai, Chengdu, Lanzhou, and beyond. Tian is a versatile instructor, as well. She has been a music director and piano teacher at locations including the Salvation Army in DC, the Lanzhou Ruiboyi Music School in China, and Beverly Farms Elementary School in Potomac, Maryland.
Tian is a responsible and patient teacher, who prides herself on her communication skills with students and parents alike. Tian’s teaching style puts an emphasis on tailored methods for each student, while providing encouragement and guidance to cultivate students’ passion for music and the piano!
Tian is available on Saturdays.
