About Hayley Gayne

Saturdays

Hayley Gayne began playing music at the age of eight, starting with classical violin, which gave her the opportunity to play with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra during her teenage years. After high school, she decided to pursue her dream of singing, and got accepted into Berklee College of Music as a voice major. During her time at Berklee, she focused on vocal performance and songwriting. After graduating, she worked for several years at Music Management in Boston, meeting, promoting, and booking musicians into the best venues in the city. Aside from booking and promoting artists, she also continued to perform in notable venues, such as Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Pride of America cruise ship in Hawaii, The Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore, MD and the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.

Hayley has lead orchestras and bands since 1997, and has received such honors as The Friends of the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra Award.

In 2013, Mrs. Gayne began teaching voice and piano lessons at the School of Rock, where she excelled at coaching young singers on vocal technique in music styles ranging from pop and rock to music theater and opera. She was promoted to Show Director, where she trained all of the instrumentalists and vocalists, helping them to deepen their understanding of music theory and history. Her students were also equipped with the tools and elements necessary to take their performances and auditions for National competitions such as The Voice and Miss Team USA to the next level. Hayley’s roster of students has included singers ranging from ages 2 through 4 years old at Montessori schools to ages 7 through 68 in her own voice studio. Hayley brings her enthusiasm and extensive experience to every class she teaches, and finds that watching her students grow, learn and achieve at every lesson, recital and performance is one of the greatest joys of her professional life.
