Geoff was born into a musical family and began his musical journey at a young age. He spent eight years studying classical piano at a conservatory in France, building a strong foundation in music theory and technique before discovering his true passion for guitar at age 14.
For the past eight years, Geoff has immersed himself in the world of bluegrass acoustic guitar, developing expertise in flatpicking, and the improvisational elements that define the genre. He actively performs around town with his band, Swamp Grass, mixing the energy of live bluegrass with influences in blues and rock to local audiences and continuing to grow as a musician through performance.
Geoff is deeply passionate about sharing his love of music with students of all ages and skill levels. He has extensive experience working with children as a studio teacher and brings patience, creativity, and encouragement to every lesson. Whether guiding a young beginner through their first chords or helping an advanced student refine their technique, Geoff tailors his teaching approach to each individual’s goals and learning style. He believes that music should be both challenging and fun, and he strives to create a supportive environment where students can discover their own musical voice.
