Felipe Verdejo is a musician from Santiago, Chile and Jersey City, NJ, now residing in Washington DC.

Felipe started music at a young age, playing baritone and singing in choirs in grade school. In Santiago, Chile, Felipe was an inaugural member of the Coro Bicentenario Instituto Nacional under his teacher María Pilar Medrano, with notable performances at the Teatro Municipal de Santiago and the 200th year anniversary of the Instituto Nacional. Moving to Jersey City in 2013, Felipe became involved with his local school choir, chamber chorus, and a capella groups and developed a passion for the bass guitar. Felipe also placed 2nd at the MAMTG Voice Virtuoso event under the tutelage as a pupil of Lisa Villamaria Casia.

In college, Felipe participated in the American University Chamber Singers, with notable performances of Bach’s Mass in B minor, Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas, and Craig Hella Johnson’s Considering Matthew Shepard, among others. Felipe currently plays in indie-pop outfit Dr. Horsedoctor and the experimental group Local Adult Males. He also has a passion for audio production, engineering, and the expansive potentialities for audio manipulation and textural sculpting.
