About Eddie Dickerson
Eddie was born in Upper Marlboro, MD. and began his musical journey with the violin. Growing up playing music with his father became a favorite mutual pastime. While studying music performance at the University of Mary Washington, Eddie began to explore gypsy jazz, fiddle tunes, and song writing. After many years of playing in his own bands, writing and co-writing original music, Eddie decided to move to Austin, Texas.
In Austin, Eddie expanded his playing to the next level. He played and recorded regularly with Curtis Grimes, The Dirty River Boys, Barbara Nesbitt, Katheryn Legendre, Brandon Jenkins, and his own projects; Fog and Bone, and The Troll Smashers.
After 5 years in Austin, Eddie decided to return to VA, to continue to grow as a songwriter and musician while also being close to family. He is currently writing and recording with Jon Tyler Wiley and His Virginia Choir, and releasing original music under Eddie Plays Fiddle.
