About Yo Han Kim
Yo Han Kim is a lifelong pianist, instructor, and accompanist. He has been actively teaching piano to children, teens, adults, and seniors for over 3 years. Students, audiences, and musicians are drawn to his patient, individual need-based approach with fun and active engagement, along with his vibrant piano performances.
Yo Han has a rich experience in both private and group teaching with students from all age, backgrounds, and skill levels. His successful teaching methods and philosophy instill a sense of ownership and love of music in his students. Born in South Korea, raised in Guatemala, and lived in the United States, he has a diverse cultural background and musical versatility that enable him to most effectively interact and guide his students. He completed Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy at University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana with Dr. Timothy Ehlen and Dr. Christos Tsitsaros and Bachelor or Arts degree in Piano Performance at Calvin College with Dr. Hyesook Kim.
