About Nathan Lo
Nathan is a current student at San José State University, where he is an avid member of the SJSU Big Band, Latin Jazz Ensemble, and serves as a choir accompanist. Equipped with a classical piano background, he has since been immersed in the contemporary world of jazz and improvised music, where he seeks to uphold the deep musical traditions formed over the last century through both his playing and teaching. As a performer, he has had the immense fortune of sharing the stage with the likes of Tim Armacost, Sylvia Cuenca, Peter Horvath, Smith Dobson, Bob Kenmotsu, Mikailo Kasha, Steven Lugerner, and many more jazz luminaries throughout the Bay Area.
Nathan has also had extensive experience as a piano and keyboard accompanist at festivals, clubs, restaurants, and wineries throughout the Bay Area, and hopes to share his performance experiences and techniques through his instruction.
