About Max Cheung
Max Cheung is a pianist from Hong Kong who discovered his passion for music at the age of 6. He has won various music competitions including the piano, Er-hu, Er-hu Ensemble, and Chinese orchestra categories at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival. Currently, Max teaches music full time specializing in preschool to kindergarten students. With over 10 years of teaching experience, Max has successfully prepared his piano students for ABRSM piano grade and theory exams, demonstrating his ability to help his students achieve their musical goals.
Apart from his teaching experience, Max has also had opportunities to perform as a musician. He used to play keyboard in a band called ‘S Wave’ that performed at various events including corporate events, weddings, and university campuses throughout California. Additionally, Max is an audio-visual technician at the Santa Clara Convention Center and a certified Pro Tools user and operator.
Max received his associate degree from the Musician Institute where he studied Keyboard Technology and Audio Engineering, and he is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Music at San Jose State University. With his strong musical background, teaching experience, and technical skills in audio engineering, Max is a well-rounded and versatile music professional who is passionate about sharing his love for music with his students.
