About Jamie Mulfinger

Mrs. Mulfinger holds Bachelor of Music, Master of Education, and Master of Music degrees and is a San Jose State University alumni. Mrs. Mulfinger was principal flautist for Nova Vista Symphony under the baton of Nuvi Mehta and Ann Krinitsky and was rotating principal flautist for Redwood Symphony for ten years under Maestro Eric Kujawsky. She studied flute with Isabelle Chapuis Starr, Dr. Karen Kuehmann and Alice McGonigal and performed in masterclasses for Robert Stallman, William Bennett, Steven Preston, Julius Baker, Paula Robison, and Jim Walker. She is the award recipient of the Alice Nelson California State Music Competition, Betty Evans Music Competition, SJSU Concerto Competition 2002, San Jose Music Study Club Young Artist Award 2nd place 2005, Redwood Symphony Concerto Competition, and William C. Byrd Woodwind Competition Semi-Finalist, 2009.

She attended masterclasses from pianists Alexander Peskanov and Anne Epperson and studied with Gustavo Cardinal at Interlochen International Fine Arts Academy and is a former student of Dr. Dan Steenson and Dr. Christopher Dillon.
