About Erin Chen

Erin started to learn music at the age of six. She learned the piano first and then learned the violin. When she was twelve, she studied in Middle School of Xinghai Conservatory of Music. During this time, she won many competitions and gave performance in many cities. She finished her bachelor’s degree in Shanghai Conservatory of Music and she began to work as a violin player in Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra. After she moved to Bay Area, she joined the Bay Area Music Project to help students with their violin performance. She has been teaching violin and piano at MAM for more than six years, and she enjoys teaching music. Some of her violin students won gold medals in competitions and some of them joined their school orchestra to fulfill their activities. In addition, many of her piano students pass the Piano Guild Exam every year.
