About Carina Wu
A native of the Bay Area, Carina started piano at age 6. She was inspired by her older sister, who had been learning piano for a few years at that time. She joined Crystal Children’s Choir a year later, and was an active chorister until she graduated from high school.
A recipient of the Dean’s Talent Award Scholarship from Oberlin Conservatory, Carina received her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with a minor in Piano Pedagogy from Oberlin Conservatory of Music, where she studied with Angela Cheng. Carina later received her Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Maryland under the tutelage of Larissa Dedova. She also held a graduate assistantship in collaborative piano while at the University of Maryland.
Carina is an active teacher and collaborative pianist. In addition to her role as the General Manager of Melody Academy of Music, she also is a staff accompanist and teacher at Crystal Children’s Choir.
