About Anthony Franceschi

Anthony Franceschi has been playing drum set and percussion since age eight. Throughout his career, he has performed in a diverse array of ensembles including indie bands, pop bands, R&B bands, funk bands, big bands, jazz combos, Afro-Cuban bands, rock bands, symphonic bands, pit orchestras, and percussion ensembles, developing a well-rounded mastery of drum set and percussion.

He studied music at San Jose State University, graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies. During his time at SJSU, Anthony performed in the Jazz Combos under the direction of Frank Sumares and John Shifflet, the Afro-Cuban Latin Jazz Ensemble under the direction of Wayne Wallace, and the Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Aaron Lington. He studied classical percussion with Galen Lemmon and drum set with Jason Lewis. After graduating, he continued his studies with world-renowned drum educator Tommy Igoe. Anthony currently teaches and actively performs throughout the Bay Area and tours nationally.
