About Amy Alvarado
Amy Alvarado is a Bay Area–born and raised Latina vocalist and pianist whose musical roots run deep in her community. In 2023, she earned her Associate of Arts in Music from Las Positas College, where she began developing both her vocal technique and her love for ensemble singing. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at San José State University, continuing to refine her craft under the guidance of distinguished faculty.
Over the years, Amy has performed in a wide range of choirs and vocal ensembles — including Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and Vocal Jazz groups — experiences that have shaped her versatility and musicianship. In addition to her vocal training, she is a pianist and enjoys teaching piano, sharing her passion for music with students of all ages.
Whether performing classical repertoire, contemporary choral works, jazz standards, or at the piano, Amy brings intention, heart, and discipline to every performance and lesson. With her cultural background and academic training, she hopes to continue performing, teaching, and inspiring others through music.
