About Adesuwa O
Adesuwa Osagie is a native of Atlanta, GA. She has been singing and performing since she was just a few years old in gospel choirs and youth performance programs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Jazz Studies/Voice) with a minor in speech communication and Theater arts from Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus. Although her foundational vocal training focused on classical music, switching over and specializing in jazz music gave her a solid foundation in music theory and vocal technique that she uses daily.
While in college, she assisted the voice department with choirs, leading sectionals and was often tasked to help coach individual singers in the choirs. It was a natural shift to begin vocal coaching right after she graduated with her music degree.
Since then, she has been working as a vocal coach, singer, writer and vocal producer for singers in pop, gospel, rock, classical, world music and more. She has taught singing and songwriting classes, coached vocalists as a private and group vocal coach, lead choirs, taught small ensembles, coached youth rock and pop bands and guided music production and songwriting technique in various education and performance settings. She truly enjoys supporting vocal artists in their growth.
Much of her teaching focus is also on performance, story-telling and connecting with your audience. She consistently receives feedback about how confident singers are after working with her! She believes that with a solid foundation of vocal technique and story-telling in their musical toolbox, each singer can access their truest, most full and unique voice.
Beyond this, she loves all things nature and outdoors. She loves composing new melodies and themes, learning new instruments, writing songs, dancing and overall enjoying life.
