About Benjamin Gilbert
Ben started playing the cello when he was 10 years old and has continuously taken lessons for the last year and a half. Ben can be seen playing with the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO), the Hanson String Quartet, the HHS String Quartet, and many solo performances around the Elgin/Hampshire area. He also marches in the HHS marching band in the drum line and sings with the HHS bass chorus and the Elgin Youth Choir as a student mentor. Ben has taken part in many orchestral, chamber, and solo performances throughout his high school career. Ben has been teaching beginning cello lessons since September of 2022.
