About John Roth
John Roth comes from a large musical family with relatives playing with the likes of George Benson, Buddy Rich, Art Blakey, and Archie Shepp, just to name a few. Growing up in the church was also an immense musical inspiration. His musical journey became truly hands-on in the 3rd grade when he first picked up a cello to join the school’s orchestra.
Although John comes from a jazz, gospel, and classical upbringing, he found his musical home in classic and progressive rock as well as all things heavy metal. Guitar and vocals have been his occupation in most of his former bands, some of which have seen small record label releases, studio time in various professional facilities, and US and Canadian tours.
