About John Abella
John Abella is a multi-instrumentalist that has more than 40 years of experience. He started taking piano lessons at the age of 7, and at the age of 12, he started teaching himself guitar and bass. Since then he has played in multiple bands and projects. John has a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in Performance/Video Art.
John has composed and arranged music for Disney Channel, Hallmark Channel, TV commercials, and more. In addition to playing live music as a performer and musical director, John is proficient in digital recording, editing, mixing, producing, arranging, and composition with over 25 years of experience. He has played in several cities across the globe, and his wheelhouse of genres includes rock, blues, funk, soul, country, reggae, and bossa nova.
