About Heather Hirshfield
Heather Hirshfield earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education of the Deaf from The College of New Jersey and studied voice and piano for eleven years.
Heather is a member of the children’s band The Green Orbs. Their 2018 album Thumb Wrestling Champions is a Parents’ Choice Silver Honor winner and a song from that album, “Twelve Steps to Eating Your Veggies,” was a finalist in the Independent Music Awards Children’s Music category. Aside from their original music, they can also be heard on YouTube as part of the YouTube Audio Library singing their versions of nursery rhymes and other children’s classics.
Heather has been a member of our First Notes staff since 2019. Heather also teaches piano and, most importantly, is mom to three wonderful daughters.
