About Troy Wills
Troy is a drummer originating from Cuba City, Wisconsin. He obtained his degree in Liberal Arts from Northeastern Junior College with a focus in Performance Arts and Audio Production. Currently in music, he is establishing himself as a session drummer and gigging around the Fort Collins area with his band, The Rattlecaps. His professional goals in music are to improve his craft and be on the same technical levels as drummers he looks up to including Andrew Tkaczyk, Nicholas Aguilar, Matt Greiner, Gene Krupa, and Ringo Starr. Some of his best qualities as a teacher is incorporating a fun environment into his lessons. He finds it important to always keep the atmosphere light and have students enjoy their learning time. His goals for his students in lessons are to fall in love with playing music, and finding that love of working with others with similar passions as you. For fun he loves to read! Particularly fantasy tales like Lord of the Rings. He is also an avid Dungeons and Dragons player, both dungeon mastering and playing. Video games are also another hobby that he enjoys, specifically CRPGs like Fallout and Baldur’s Gate, though he’ll occasionally play FPS games like Halo, Rainbow Six, or Apex Legends.
