About Kathryn Spenn
Hey everybody! My name is Kathryn and I love teaching voice and piano here at the Academy! I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, with a degree in Music Education. After college, I taught choir and general music for 3 years in St. Louis, Missouri before pivoting into private voice and piano lessons. My main passions in life are music and sports. My blended background in ensembles and sport teams has molded the way I view the world around me – I think all of us want to truly belong to something and celebrate our achieved successes. I see my role as a teacher through the same lens – I care about my students deeply and love connecting with them on a personal level. I help my students feel confident in unlocking their true potential and celebrate success in our musical journey as a team with a shared vision.
